Well, I had to drive all the way to Newcastle last week... ok... I didn't do the driving, but it was a long trip anyway!

Newcastle Airport required it's annual check and it was down to me and my colleague Ollie to get it done...

AND you can see a map which will tell you where and when it was taken... Too cool for words... Just GO THERE!

Ok, so maybe I WON'T be leaving!

Turns out that no wonder Nokia are "partnered" with this new blog site... You have to pay each month to use it!

Needless to say, I WON'T be leaving behind the free service here, so here I will remain!

I have however discovered that I can still "blog" my phone recorded life to the FLIKR service and then link that to my blog here... So that's what I'll do! In fact, the FLIKR service is very cool in lots of ways, but (and here comes the gadget stuff!), it will let me put photo collections, comments, notes directly from my phone to the web... and it can even draw a map and show EXACTLY where in the world and when a picture/comment was made! For a cartographer like me, that's a VERY cool thing!

Anyway, I guess it's stay tuned...

OH! and before I forget, check out my NEW blog... I'm starting out in the world of Radio Controlled Aircraft, and I will be keeping a record of how I get on!

I know... I know... How dare I sapend so much time away from blogging? When I live such and exciting life?!

Well, it's good news and bad news...

This will be my last blog... I will nevermore be subbmitting my life on the pages of Blogger.com...

But don't fret!

I will be continuing my life story, not that I submit much of it, but on another blog site... Go check it out... www.typepad.com

The reason for this change is that I am about to get a new phone... It's shiny... It's cool... it's got more features than the avearage PC... One such feature is really rather awsome... It's caled Lifeblog...

Lifelblog apparently will let me take all the pictures and videos I want and put written notes nect to them... Then when I get home, I sync to my PC and the Lifeblog software will create a blog post with all my stuff from the day and post it for all to see!

It would have been great to use it on my blog here, but I guess you can't have everything...

I guess this means you'll get to see more pictures... and more totally boring and mundane stuff than you ever wanted... Yay!

FUDGY LIVES!

Hey all...

Well, September is now well and truly over... And my forray into manly lip fluff cultivation has come to an end... OR HAS IT?!

My lovely lady wife, a few friends form work and I attended a spiffing party at a place called "The Elbow Room". It was the official Tacheback party for those superheroes amongst us.

It was FREE booze and food (which was a good thing!) but best of all, was the TACHE PARADE... Every official tachebacker was given a sticker with a number on it as they arrived and we each took a turn on a celebrity judged catwalk... Strutting our hairy stuff!

It's worth noting now that I had decided to wear a viking helmet and an axe as I had been told (and I agreed) that my tache was somewhat Nordic in appearence. It got a few laughs and better yet, despite making me look like a dork, I had a blast!

The Viking Shaving Contest... And yes one horn is up and one is down...

Also, while we were there, The BBC was filming. I didn't know quite what for, but as it turned out, it was for a news story! AND I'M IN IT! (Ok... not a pseaking role, but I'm officially aired on the BBC... How cool is that?!)

A blog survey... OK... Here goes!

1) Are you happy/satisfield with your blog and with its content and look?

Yeah... I suppose I am... Mostly... Just wait till I finish my web design course then I'll change it to a kick ass format with loads of bells and whistles! And yes... Before you ask Sex Therapist... I will be happy to share my knowledge and power (Anybody would think we were related or something!).

2) Does your family know about your blog?

Yes and No. My Family (blood relatives) do not as they are not exactly clued in to computers or the internet... I have tried in the past to change that, but my powers were too weak... As for my FaMiLy (mostly in-laws, but in a cool sense as opposed to demonic influences - And way more fun, hence the way I wrote Family), yes indeed they do know and I'm happy to report that they read my blog regularly. Good for them!

3) Do you feel embarassed to let your friends know about your blog or do you just consider it a private thing?

I don't tell my friends actively... I'm not the kind to go running about like a pre-teen cheerleader screaming "Hey! look at my blog! it's cool! All the popular kids are doing it!". Mostly because I'm not a girl, hence not a cheerleader, it's not that cool, and I was never a "popular kid" so phooey on them! Those that I do tell usually share my views and so can appreciate my whacked out ways...

4) Did blogs cause positive changes in your thoughts?

Errrr... No. Trying to get it to work in the first bloody place was more of a negative change in my thoughts! But talking about my general thoughts, not a bit of change... I guess I like the way I think anyway and so couldn't get any more positive about it.

5) Do you only open the blogs of those who comment on your blog or do you love to go and discover more yourself?

I did a lot of "blog surfing" to start with, but found far too much crap out there. I'm a patient man, but I don't want to have to search through 100 piles of poo to find one great blog. I tend now to stick to visitors and or family members and thier recomendations.

6) what does visitor counter mean to you? Do you care about putting it on your blog?

The what now?

7) Did you try to imagine your fellow blogger and give them real pictures?

Nah... Besides... Isn't that a bit of a contradiction? If you put a real picture to a blogger, surely you're not using your imagination?!

8) Do you think there is a real benefit in blogging?

Yes indeedy-doo. it gives everybody a fair shout. Of course, it gives the nutters out there a means to spread crap and bullshit too, and sadly they seems to have the loudest voices... So people may actually believe what they see in those blogs as they think it's the overwhelming thought of the people... Spoils it for the rest of us. We need to set up extra loud counter-point blogs to all the crap out there! Any volunteers?!

9) Do you think that bloggers’ society is isolated from the real world or it interacts with events?

Well, as a community, bloggers are isolated in as much as you have to have access to the internet to be a part of it (and all the associated stuff... computers... electricity... phone lines...), but I do feel that there is a big part of society that is now much more able to express themselves... Me for example... there is no way I'd have the balls to air my points of view in the open... Using a blog, I can do that and more importantly, I can comment on the real world and find like minded people that feel about things the way I do. It's oddly liberating!

10) Does criticism annoy you or do you feel it’s a normal thing?

Ok... Lets be clear about this... NOBODY likes criticism. The word is very negative and can anybody honestly say they are not annoyed when people start ragging on them?! I do however have no problem whatsoever with CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK. If somebody has a problem with me, they're more than welcome to tell me about it, as long as they also tell me how they feel I can make it better... If you're just going to have a go at me, then all I can say is CRAWL BACK INTO YOUR HOLE, YOU TROLL AND KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF!

11) Do you fear some of the political blogs?

Nooooooooooo! I love poloitical blogs! Firslty, you can read them and see how much more twisted and stupid people can be than you... Gives you a great sense of confidence! Secondly, we all have a the right to our own opinions, so when I read crap that forces other peoples views on me and brands me as some form of low life if I don't agree, I can (and do so gladly!) write comments to let them know how insane I think they are... Great way to beat stress!

12) Were you shocked by the arrest of some bloggers?

I honestly believe in freedom of speach, and for eveyone to have thier own opinions and views... However, if those views are harmful (and by harmful, I don't mean small fry stuff like saying that Bush is a FUCKING KNOB HEAD - Which is a valid opinion, shared by many!), they should be moderated. Furthermore, if anybody is deliberately perverting the use of a blog for a nefarious purpose (recruiting religeous nuts for god knows what or inciting actual violence), then yes, the authors of those kind of blogs get what they desrve... Laws are laws, whether you're shouting in the streets or blogging on the web.

13) Do you think about what will happen to your blog after you die?

I'm going to live forever... But seriously, lets be honest... With the march of technology as we see today, Blogging will be much more complicated and far more advanced in only a few years... Maybe we'll all have personal blog systems that record our lives and let us post interesting clips of it on a worldwide database... Maybe we'll all become cyborgs with a centralised knowledge base and wouldn't have a need for a blog... Scary! (I actually saw the other day a new thing that is a small gold disk that you can have inlaid into a headstone... And it stores your life story so any body with a compatible PDA can download your life story... Sounds cool, but maybe that would be my last ever blog?!)

14) What do you like to hear? What song would you link to your blog?

It's time you all knew...

I am a superhero.

Ok... Here's the dealio... Me being the absolutely splendid chap that I am, I have registered for this years TACHEBACK challenge!

For those of you who are saying "what the hell is Tacheback?!", well, it's an anual event run by the Cancer Research Institute in order to raise money for research intop testicular and prostate cancer. Obviously, for those who know me and my extended family, cancer has already played a big part so raising money for this cause has taken on a personal edge... Basically, I am going to stop shaving my top lip for the WHOLE of september. At the end of the month, I will be the proud owner of a trained sub nasal ferret whom I will call Fudgy.

Of course this means great sacrifice and hardship on my part, not to mention the discomfort Katie, my good lady wife will have to deal with! I will of course be posting my progress on this blog... You have been warned!

In order to raise money for this event, I am looking for sponsorship. That's where all you good people in Blogland come in!

What the Mahoozadiddle?!

A peek into the mind of the British Criminal Mind...

Ok... Picture the scene...

It's 6:30am, I've literally JUST got up and I'm still half asleep... the doorbell rings... I scramble into my dressing gown ("robe" for my transatlantic followers) and go downstairs expecting perhaps a delivery or something. Instead, I'm standing in the doorway in front of an RAF police officer!

Naturally, the first thing I think is "What the freakin' hell?" Then he asks "Does the green car over there belong to you?". Well, he was pointing right at my car so duty bound I confirmed it was. He then asks me to go and check the car "to see if anything had been stolen"!!!

It turns out that a bunch of young thugs had been seen wandering about our estate in the early hours and when the RAF police came out to investigate, the found my car door wide open! Stuff had been thrown all over the car and all the door compartments and glove box had been opened and emptied... All over the bloody place!

Now here's the odd thing...

Despite the mess, which was easily tidied up, there was NOT ONE THING missing! There was a bunch of spare change (about £6) in the door, a radio controlled model plane on the back seat, all my drivers documents and car registration stuff in the glove box and a groovy Homer Simpson on the dash... They didn't take a thing! Not even the money!

Maybe they developed a concience...

Maybe they felt sorry for us...

Or just perhaps, THEY WERE MORE THAN A BIT THICK!

Anyhow, everything is fine now. I'm guessing here, but considering they never touched anything else and they had basically "searched" the car, they must have been looking for something in particular, perhaps the keys, or more likely they saw I had a GPS satnav bracket installed and thought I was an idiot and would keep it hidden in the car (this seems to be one of the latest "popular crimes" over here).

Bet you wish all crims were as considerate?!

I'M BACK...

It's been since NOVEMBER LAST YEAR since I last posted! EEEEK! I guess I must have been oh so busy doing stuff like sleeping, being lazy and general apathy!

Anyway, I came crawling back and noticed my dear old transatlantic Mom had requested I do more blogs. So here I am (and by the way, the "old" bit in that refernce was purely for turn of phrase purposes!)

Ok... Errr.... So what's happened since last November?!

To be honest, not a lot!

I got moved offices, and now I'm doing even more menial stuff... It's quite sad really that even though I'm trained as a cartographer, and that's what's on my job description, all I do all day is sit at a PC and enter numbers. A trained chimp could do this job! As it happens, I think some of the people around me really ARE trained chimps (but without the cute)!

Oh yes! I suppose there is one BIG thing that's happened... I started flying lessons! Yey! I'm going to be a pilot! What? Don't believe me?! Well then fine... Here's the evidence!

Yes... That really is me at the controls! Anyways, It's DAMN good fun and this is the start of my training... Eventually I'll be a comercial pilot so who knows... Perhaps I'll be flying one of you lot around in a few years time!

Anything else happen? Mmmmmmmmm... Thinking... Nope! Just been doing my flying and moaning about work.

Speaking of which, I received my "Service Leavers Pack" the other day... I knew I was leaving, but it didn't really hit home till I got all these forms and leaflets about homelesness and debt and stuff... They have SO much faith in us! I have to admit though, I'm getting a little panicky about arranging everything I need... Find a house, get a mortgage, get another job... And all in 5 months (well, I do enjoy a challenge)!

As far as jobs go though... I have been "offered" a position at the same airfield where I currently work but as an aircraft handler... Not as good pay, but the shifts are AWESOME and who would turn down a job where you get to play with planes all day?!

Ahhhh... Boobs... Doesn't everybody just love them?

Anybody who says they don't is either lying or doesn't have a pair that are easily accesible.

No doubt you can tell that I am a huge fan... in every sense of the phrase (that's a huge fan meaning fanatic of huge enthusiasm and a huge fan meaning a fan of huge boobs). They make life worth living and have magical powers (an example of which would be the ability that allows the owners of the boobs to extract money from my bank account without me even knowing).

But I'm not just some crazy, lecherous perv... At least that's what I like to think!

Ok... Onto my first post. I have no special reason for blogging, I have no political messages... I would just like to spend some time sharing my awsome life (and love of boobs) with all you mere mortals out there. As far as introductions go, check my profile...
